Those could all very easily go under General Discussion.  Hope I don't sound like I'm ragging on you but I think it's a great idea that the creators of this forum dedicated it solely towards Arashi.

Well.. i've added a discussion board esp. for JE boys... heh heh

I also think the snowflakes are neat, but is there any way to turn them off? ^^;  I was looking around in my profile section for changing the display preferences and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn them off...?

currently, im monitoring the downloads thread. was thinking of classifying the downloads into different categories too but im just worried that there will be many recurring threads in both downloads sections. For eg:

Downloads for guests & members
- Drama
- Variety
- Music

Downloads for members only
- Drama
- Variety
- Music

etc...

Do you think that will cause confusion amongst members who have access to both threads?  :?:

Anyway, I say you should add a fanfiction section! I would surely post Arashi fanfics! 
If there is a fanfiction section, I'm sorry I haven't gotten to check everything out just yet! -_-' heh.

have a section which provides the source to find their songs. it'll be easier for us to look for their songs though we can just ask around any fans to send us, but some members are too shy to ask and so on, so it'll help a lot. (:

I have a question... or say something at least... this may be redundant but I'll ask anyway.

I can understand why the board has "exclusive downloads" in which members will have to reach a certain # of posts for them to have access.  I can understand media files being under that section as well.  What I don't understand is why are scans, images, grahpics and translations also have to be under "exclusive downloads" as well?  Isn't that a little too restrictive?  It's a huge disadvantage especially for newer fans that they would at least would like to get to know them by seeing the latest snapshots of the guys and reading translations to those who know little or no Japanese at all.

I mean, if this is about bandwidth issues, media files will definitely take most of the bandwidth when they're being downloaded.  Image files, on the other hand, only take little bandwidth compared to media files.  Translations are just text and obviously do not take a lot of bandwidth just by posting text.

I don't know what people think, but this is how I feel.  I think putting images/graphics and translations underneath the "exclusive downloads" is too much, too restrictive.  If the purpose of this board is to gather all Arashi fans around the world together and share their love and all that to each other, don't you think that having "exclusive downloads" pretty much defeats that purpose?  Not all Arashi fans are going to be active in this board due to certain time constraints w/ their real life and what not, but just by having so many of these things underneath "exclusive downloads" pretty much puts newer fans in to total disadvantage.  I mean, shouldn't message boards like this one would keep and gain new members as much as they can, not push them away because they have to have certain requirements just for them to get to know more about Arashi?

I don't know, I just don't think it's worth it.  In amnosNET, that's what I try to do--- spread the love and message about Arashi, provide them with whatever I have.  I don't offer media files in that site because I do not have enough space and bandwidth to handle media files, so instead I streamline them in a flash-based jukebox player and a flash-based video player.  I do not offer translations because I don't have time to sit down and take hours and hours to translate them (plus my Japanese isn't "up to par" with "translator-level" Japanese).  But whatever I can that's what I try to do.

If you want Arashian to be "the best Arashi-only board in the net," shouldn't you be more open to newer fans?
