Back in the old days, image editing programs were only limited to
Adobe Photoshop and
Paint Shop Pro, both which require you to purchase them at ridiculous prices (though PSP is a lot cheaper than Photoshop, you still gotta pay anyway). Today, we've got solid, legit programs that you can use at no cost to you--- except your HD space to install them.
Do you want to create your own custom graphics (from avatars to sigs and wallpapers) that actually has your name all over? You can still ask your fellow Arashian to make some graphics for you if you don't mind, but if you really want to be a "hardcore" simple graphics creator/editor, then keep reading this thread.
- GIMP - GIMP is a premiere and most notable open-source image editing program that anyone can download and install for free--- forever. It has some capabilities as Photoshop (such as the layers system and such) but the interface is quite different. They have a plugins repository site where you can download more plugins to extend the standard capabilities of the program and make your usage a lot more convenient.
- Paint.COM - Another free image-editing program that you can download, also has the same powerful features as Photoshop and also has its own plugins repository. Like GIMP, it has a slightly different interface so you may have to take some time to get to learn this program. Other than that, another image editing program worthy to check out and experiment.
- SUMO Paint - If you can't afford downloading programs because you stuffed it with all your Arashi vids, audio files, and scans, then fret no more! You get the online service of SUMO Paint!. All you gotta do is sign up an account and use their online image editing program interface to create your graphics. All for free!
