TO DESIGN AND CREATE AN ARASHI CALENDAR for 2011-2012

Dear Arashians,  

We had a little contest last year, to design our own Arashi Calendar, as under JE's policies, Arashi, having completed their 10th successful year, would no longer have an official calendar.   Well, we could only say that we had some amazing entries last year and we would like to see more this year.  

Thus, in celebration of another amazing   year, and also in celebration of Arashian.com 5th Anniversary, we are going to have another DESIGN AND CREATE YOUR OWN ARASHI CALENDAR contest.  

This being a contest, we will be giving away prizes.  For the moment, I can only say that the prizes will be AMAZING and you will so regret it, for not at least trying one submission!  

The rules are boringly simple, but ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.  

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. This contest is only open to Arashian.com active forum members (with minimum post of 5).

2. All entries must consist of at least 12 layouts, one for each month. The calendar should start from April 2011 until March 2012. The participant if he/she wants to, may choose to include a front and/or back cover for the calendar.

3. All entries must include Arashian.com - Following the Infinite Storm! at least once within the whole calendar.

4. In addition,   members birthdays and significant anniversary dates have to be included within the design of the calendars.

5. There is no standard size for submission. Therefore it is up to the participants to decide what size they want to work on. However, bear in mind that forum members might want to download the calendar layouts once the contest is over, so please make sure it would look good when it is printed out. 1280x800px is generally a good size for printing on an A4 and smaller size papers.

6.  This year, we are opening up 3 contest categories.  

Cat 1:  Arashi Calendar - ie only group photos can be used in the design of the calendar.
Cat 2:  Member Specific - only photos of 1 individual member can be used through the design of the calendar.  
Cat 3:  Freestyle :x): - anything as long as Arashi related can be used in the design of the calendar.

7.  Each forum member can send up to 3 set of layouts, subjected to a maximum of 2 submissions for the same category.  i.e. You can send in up to 3 set of layouts but, only 2 set can be submitted for the same category.

8.  Prizes will be awarded to:

     -  Winner (with the highest number of votes) in each individual category.
     -  Entry with the most number of votes (overall).  

9.  We have also decided that this year, we will be awarding a special prize to the entry most loved by us - meaning Us - the Forum Team .  We will call that Our Choice Award. _{(I know, sounds so cheapskate copy from somewhere but I am   so, can't think of a better name)}

10. To ensure anonymity, all entries should be free from participant's name, nicknames or any indication that might give out the identity of the creator. All participants will be given 5 days after the result announcement day to include their initials before the calendar is available for downloads.

* Contest ends on 3 November 2010 at 2359h GMT.
** Voting will be made by active forum members (at least 1 post). Voting starts on 10 November 2010 0000h GMT and ends on 1 December 2010 0000h GMT. The result will be announced on 12 December 2010.

*** All entries will be available for download in the Fanart board from 20 December 2010 onwards, and the creators will be revealed with it.
 
All submission should be made in .JPEG format and submitted to  xiaowanzi@arashian.com and/or chashaopao@arashian.com.  

All decisions are final.

Till date, we have only receive 1 entry for the calendar. Not sure if you all might have missed it... we have extended the deadline till 30 Nov 2010.

Much apologies about the long silence on this contest.  Even though we have all those lovely prizes sitting and waiting to be sent, we have unfortunately only received 3 entries till date. 

Xiaowanzi has and will post all those entries ( _{that her RL lets her have a break soon}).

As we already have all those prizes reserved, I think it will probably just be a vote on the positions and the prizes that we would be giving out.

I thank all of you who had been patient with us thus far and I hope that you will continue to support us.
