OK! Story-time.

I was listening to the Sho Beat (20051105) to catch the new Xmas song 'Futari no Kinenbi' (10:05-13:13). After the song played, it was a segment in his show called 'Listener's Beat' - most of the time, I just let the words go in one ear, go out the other but this time, I realised... SHO IS SPEAKING ENGLISH. Actually he was reading an email from one of the fans (lucky girl).

Anyway this is what I transcripted (13:30-15:14):
Hi-Hi Sakurai Sho-kun! I'm Estafania from Chile [something] and I'm a big fan of Arashi and Sakurai Sho-kun. Maybe it's a surprise for you my message. Almost all Arashi fans overseas from Singapore, Chile, USA, Europe - but there are a lot of fans from [can't catch this either], Peru, Columbia, Chile - I think you're becoming an international group [Sho says 'Hontou kara kore? SUGOII yo'] known by a lot of people. I just wanted to be sure you read. I love Arashi and [something]. I'm far from Japan, I will be supporting you so please do your best in everything. Do your best and remember I'm supporting you from Chile.

Guh! I'm going to email him too. Must be short, sweet, non-fangirlism and straight to the point AND mention more countries like Malaysia, Australia, France, Canada, Austria, Spain, Germany etc.

This the Sho Beat if anyone wants:

whenever i think of sho, i can't help but look at him superficially. it's not that i don't acknowledge his personality and talent, believe me, i've done that since day 1. i think he's a beautiful person inside, but why does he have to have such a nice body?  :heart1: whenever i watch him, i always have to say, "sho, don't tease me!" to me, he's the epitome of hottt. his face is so mature, his composure is so :heart4: and when he starts rappin (like in All or Nothing), he manages to change his voice, i find it hot

well, i don't think my twin could handle more than posting in one forum, lol~ so i'm just gonna post this for her :cute::

Sho at the very first glance(the first thing i saw of Arashi was the Sakura Sake PV) makes me think he's a Korean, and then when i heard him rap in it, I thought he was all hard-core and macho-like. and he was hardly indistinguishable from Aiba, they both looked like twins in it. but after episodes of D no Arashi, Mago mago, his acting in doramas and also other things~ I now see him in a very different perspective. I love the way he infuses his rappings in the arashi songs... the style varies, but nevertheless they're all amazingly unique... his big heart and how compassionate he is... by listening to his laughter~ the child-like innocence that he has, tho he is a university graduate... a very thoughtful person, gah~ i could go on and on (i wonder if my twin's soul has taken over my mind~)

My favourite arashi member is Sho-kun, but it was not love at first sight.   :haha: Actually I came to notice arashi because of KwP and I thought Jun was kinda cute. Then I also watched Gokusen and after that I decided to download an episode of D no Arashi. Apart from Jun, I did not even know the names of the other members..... and Sho and Aiba looked so much a like, I couldn't tell them apart... :haha: :haha:

But as I watched more arashi stuff and a clip of Gokusen cross with Yoiko no mikata, I found Sho's smile very sweet and charming. I mean, when he smiles, his whole face just lights up..... Then I saw him sing "can't take my eyes off you" in one concert and then that was it   And since then, it was Sho-kun Sho-kun Sho-kun dake... :)

Keio U, actually, but they're both considered among Japan's "Ivy league" level institutions.

I've always wondered how well Sho-kun actually did in school.  I mean, I know he graduated, but you can graduate with a 65% average and no one will know the difference because it doesn't show up on your degree.  I'm not saying he's dumb, but being a celebrity eats up a lot of a person's time and leaves very little for everything else, including school.  On the flip side though, Sho's 10,000 word essay from Arashigoto shows his very academic focus and his families academic focus, so who knows?
