Well, this is a surprise. New single from Arashi is up on CD Japan. ^^

This is the song for Sho's Mitsuya Cider CM. Remember that CM back in March?

Unexpectedly "To Be Free" single has One Edition Only.

..... Does this mean Arashi won't be doing Jun's drama theme song? Or somehow this song might be an insert song in the drama? Or is this like the "Everything" single (au CM song) because they can?

Whatever it is, I'm still buying. :x): The DVD would be a treasure as always~ Wonder what concept they're going for this time with the PV...

So it really is just one edition (excluding First Press). No regular edition.

I wish it was a new album instead. ^^

Hmm... This time this is only available in one edition. If this is already a Limited Edition, does that mean there is a set number of copies?
And that once the set number sold out, there won't be any additional copies?
So if they set it to 500 000, if those are sold out within say a week, then no more?
Where is Sora Takaku?!

Somehow this feels weird... What are you planning J-Storm? Is this like the appetizer before the main dish? Just to whet fans' appetites. A new album coming soon perhaps? ;)

Yup, the Old Man has really caught us all by surprise.  We were expecting at least an album, but not another Single (of a CM, that does not even feature the entire group, just one member), with no coupling song...

This is a First Press.  Does that mean they will announce the release of a LE and a RE later?

With this 31st Single, I get the impression that they are trying to get at least 3 out of 4 singles for the year out of the way, announce album, then concert, before another single at the later part of the year....

The next major announcement would then most likely be the release of a new album (hopefully with Sora Takaku...) plus concert dates.
Last heard, could be Kokuritsu again this year... with more shows...not sure how they doing it... maybe over 2 weekends or so...

The Oricon ranking for that week would be interesting~ Kaibutsu-kun single is also cheaper. Wonder how it'll play out. ^^

I would've preferred the song to be bundled together instead of separates. They could've pull a Believe/Kumori thing. But I guess since the song is just a remake of the original theme song, NTV has the copyright or something. ^^;;

Let's just say today is an interesting day for Arashi-related news: new album, CD Japan server crash and the 10-11 Tour... What a day, what a day... :x):

Yes.. it could have been bundled together with TO BE FREE... perhaps that it why it is being sold so cheaply, at only 500yen...

Now :x): I wonder if the NTV server would also crash, with Arashian logging in to place their orders... :x):

:x):  YesAsia can take some time to deliver unless you choose the higher postage costs... I have switched to CDJ because of the speed of delivery and the discounts that I can get from the loyalty points accumulated...  :rlol: :rlol:

I like this song... Yukai Tsukai Kaibutsu kun... although it is not a new song, but for many, who had grown up watching Kaibutsu kun, it is a song that brings back memories (this is information from a Japanese friend)  :rlol:

About tonight's Music Station "To be free' performance...

Arashi as usual do not disappoint with their appearance. ^^ So lively~ And Sho is just looking too damn hot tonight. Surprise us with a new haircut why don't you? ^^ Someone's really gearing up for the Tour huh.

Arashi really had fun during the talk part. Jun was energetic. Arashi ni shiyagare really has an effect on them. They're more at ease and really know how to steer conversations and interact with the other guests. Sometimes Tamori can make the atmosphere awkward with the timing of his questions or humour, in my opinion. This time, everything ran smoothly. It was fun, funny, fun all the way. :D

The performance was gorgeous. My favourite bit (other than the Sho shots :P) is the one at the beginning of the group chorus, where Aiba had a problem with the timing.
You can see that Sho and Aiba were grinning widely as opposed to Ohno and Nino who were singing their lines with serious faces. It's as if Sho noticed something that Aiba did - maybe some counting thing (or something like what they did in the Making Of DVD). Well, at least Aiba didn't mess up this time. :x):
