I think one of the biggest problems I had with GRA was exactly that: that Arashi acted more like regular guests than anything. I never felt that the show was actually "theirs". There were too many other guests and it always felt that aside from Aiba, it was as though the others had been pushed to the background a bit. While it was educational, it was also a bit boring sometimes, like in one of recent episodes where all of them just sat and answered questions for the entirety of the episode. And I agree that it seems weird to have Aiba separated from the rest of the group like that. He's more fun being curious along with his fellow members than being the one to explain everything to them. Or maybe I'm just more used to seeing Sho as being the lead host whenever Arashi does something.

yea!! that is so true!! rather sometimes i feel like  that the boys do not enjoy the show at all .. i feel llike they were forced to attend each epsoide becuase they had to and that is it ! plus they were not that much room for our boys to express threir selves and show their talents ..and i do agree .. they shouldn't have canceld MMA in the first place!

MMA died a premature death, that much is clear. My take on the whole thing was that Fuji TV felt like the boys were getting too old to play 'grandkids' and decided to make them have a more 'adult-like' show. Unfortunately, they made a huge mistake separating Aiba from the rest.

I think G.R.A. would have had a much happier birth if they had started off on location, visiting interesting places and such, moving progressively to the studio. Instead, they switched all too abruptly and not everybody liked seeing Arashi locked up in a studio...after all, we already had Arashi no Shukudai-kun for that, ne?

At any rate, and like I said, things were finally getting interesting and it is a pity that G.R.A. only lived on for 23 episodes...it's really sad. Thankfully, VS Arashi sound like it's going to be full of the usual Arashi-crack so we can look forward to that and, to be honest, I'm kind of relieved that the boys won't have FOUR shows going on at the same time: it would have been way too much for them...

Actually, that might have been a good idea. I just recently watched the 1 hour special episode they did where Arashi and co. went to a skating rink and it was absolutely hilarious. But I guess they wanted the boys in a studio because they wanted to include the regular guests as well? It'd be pretty hard to have all 5 of them plus 3 others on location on a regular basis otherwise, I think. Arashi no Shukudai-kun never felt boring for me but I think that's partly because the boys had a more active role and there were a lot of different corners that kept popping up. I never particularly cared for the questions/answers format of GRA. Maybe if they had divided it up into Arashi vs the regular guests and made it a bit like a game show, I would've like it more.

Frankly, I think even 3 shows is too much, especially since they have their dome tour coming up fast as well promotions for their upcoming album and Jun's 2 movies in the summer and Aiba's TSD and Sho's News Zero and Ohno's stage play and each of their own respective radio shows in addition to interviews and photo-shoots for magazines every month like Myojo and Popolo. If any of the boys get a drama role this summer, I think I just might freak out.

yae! they already involvded in other works and it is good for us as well..i was thinking of some method that would enable me to follow all of the 4 showes demo yougata nither the boys nor us  needs to stress our selves

While I'm all for educational shows, I've only watched the subbed episodes of this show. I did hear that the show got better as the weeks progressed? I think Himitsu no Arashi-chan and VS Arashi fare better than GRA, but I still miss MMA a lot!

Well, GRA was short but it wasn't less fun..
It entertaining and educational, I learn a lot about Japan here..

But I cannot deny that maybe if they carry out this show in a more creative and fun way it will be more enjoyable to watch..

I actually haven't tried watching GRA before
but the idea of Arashi and Educated  did not really suit in my head  lol

to be honest, now i'm stucked with their baka image till the serious mode can't just pop up in my head anymore.

Though it would be good program to help improve Japanese I guess.

i just watch like 2 or 3 eps of this show and i really didn't like it i mean is really good because you learn tons of things but i guess it was like i don't know always the same like the enjoyment wasn't really there or maybe i just love to much mago mago arashi and i think the show wasn't better than mago wel who knows .......

Hm, I liked how much you could learn from this show, it definitely wasn't as good as MMA but I wonder what would happen if it was on air a little bit longer...I mean, like HnA that went through major changes. Well, we'll never know.
