A Sho a day, a smile always. v(*'▽^*)-☆

The forever epic, amazing, mind blowing Kazoku Game drama series will be available on both DVD and Blu-Ray. \^o^/

The thrilling, humorous, suspenseful, gripping drama starring Sakurai Sho will be released on 29 November 2013.

Spoil yourself with the 527-minute long boxset which includes a bonus disc expected to include making-of, press conferences, trailers, TV spots and more.

I think the 10-episode drama is about 495 minutes long, so the bonus disc could be about 32 minutes long. Content of the bonus is still tentative.
(assuming one episode is 45 minutes x 11 <-- all the extra 15-mins add up to 1 episode roughly, hence 11)

The price is a killer though. ^^;;

7 discs - 22 800 Yen (~US$233. US$33 per disc)

4 discs - 28 200 Yen (~US$288. US$72 per disc)

First Press for both versions comes with a special booklet (tentative).

Another killer: No English subtitle. T_T

Anyway, the boxsets are already up for pre-order to those who still wants them. ^^

'Kazoku Game' was based on a novel of the same name which spawned popular spin-offs in film and dramas between 1983 and 1985.

The story tells of a home tutor who uses unconventional methods to get his students to produce the desired results, and helps to mend his students' family troubles along the way.

Sho will play the genius handsome eccentric tutor, 吉本荒野 (Yoshimoto Kouya), who was said to have 100% success rate of getting students into Tokyo University.

In this modern remake, Yoshimoto is tasked to help the second son of a well-to-do family improve his academic results. With the first son being a prodigy and the second going the opposite end, the family is tearing apart.

The series promises to be a true educational drama dealing with current issues in Japanese education and family life.

Love love love this drama! <3

I hope they include the blooper where Sho's towel fell off when he ran through the dining room as he mentioned in a magazine interview. :x):
