this is so annoying. The buy it now price on Yahoo!Japan auctions is like 15000Yen... ridiculous! I guess the chances of getting a copy is super slim unless you want to pay over $100USD.

Just went there again today and the situation was this--- I talked to the girl at the counter then she told me to hold on. Awhile later, she came back to me with some guy, which turned out to be the manager-of-some-sorts I think. He started speaking to me in Japanese, after some rambling, I told him I couldn't understand then he told me something like that in Mandarin: " We can order it for you but whether it arrives or not, it's a different story". Hmm... Seems that even if you order from Kinokuniya, there isn't a 100% that you'll get it

  Of course it's alright penniquene-chan. That's how my name is supposed to be spelt anyway. Haha... I don't really know too. I could only understand like 60% of the manager's mandarin. Maybe they'll collect a deposit first then if they can't get the book then they'll call you to inform you again?  I was thinking of calling Kinokuniya again to ask them about it. That way, maybe the girl would speak to me instead and I'll be able to understand.  From the manager's tone though, it seems that it's quite difficult to get it.

don't lose hope everyone as the second edition comes on the 20th, so keep a close eye on yesasia, cdjap or wherever you plan ordering. i got my order approved just now after what 4 days of waiting. i'm crossing my fingers though that it doesn't get canceled.
