An invitation to Ohno Satoshi's 'FREESTYLE' exhibition:
Date: 21st-29th February 2008.
Where: Omotesando Hills, Tokyo
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (* First day - only open to the public from 5:00 p.m. onwards. On the last day, final entry is 2:30 p.m. as the exhibition ends at 3:00 p.m.)
Admissions: Free.

Finally fans and the general public will be able to see Ohno's 150 or so personal masterpieces, which range from paintings, figures, photographs and more, starting 21st February 2008. The 9-day exhibition will be the first time that Ohno's other artistic talent be scrutinized and put in the spotlight for fans and critiques alike. A 3m by 6m giant graffiti will also be featured as part of Ohno's 10 year collection of personal artworks.

The exhibition titled 'FREESTYLE' will be held at an art space in the beautiful and elegant Omotesando Hills, Tokyo. Entrance is free.

Great design and architecture, that building. I watched somewhere that Omotesando promises to be THE spot for arts, fashion and stuff. I wonder who is/are backing Ohno's exhibition... Amazing.

Good luck Ohno! So can we expect to see his clay models and caricatures? He built a chair or something too, right? An exhibition in Omotesando... <3 And just a month before his 'Amatsukaze' stageplay. Oooh... Talk about an appetizer! Umai!!! Yummy!!!

Wow! Thanks for letting us know! I was kind of hoping Ohno would finally want to share his magnificent artistic abilities with everyone. He sure deserves the praises he's surely going to get! Go Riida!!!

I am hoping to see other Arashi members' portraits or clay busts. I think he did some. Anyway, wonder if they would include all those caricatures from O no Arashi segment a couple of years back. Wonder if there is any chance of the people buying/bidding for the artworks after the exhibition... Plus can we expect to see Ohno and the rest of Arashi (and other Johnny's... Chinen? :P) to attend some time during the 9-day period at Omotesando Hills? ^^ Heck, even if it wasn't for the art, a chance of Johnny idol spotting would seduce any fan to come. Ha...ha...ha...

I expect the Culture segment in News Zero to cover this event too. :D

Hmm... I wonder if it is possible to send one of those flower bouquets to congratulate Ohno on the opening of the exhibition. You know one of those huge bouquets they put in front of the entrance with big ribbons with the sender's name and message written on them? Surely they won't turn it away right?

Maybe some fans would pool up some money, get someone to place an order at a florist in Japan and ask the flowers to be delivered on the opening day. It'd be great to see flowers sent by fans from different parts of the world lining the entry to the art space. ^^ Not sure if this is possible though.

During Arashi concerts, Arashi got flowers from their TV stations and other celebrities, so surely it's okay to get flowers from fans too? The really big bouquets... I wonder ne.

Maybe you can try going to your local Japanese bookstore, like Kinokuniya, and ask them if they can get it for you. Just give them this reference no.: ISBN 978-4-04-894208-9-C0071 and give the publisher's name too. It's worth making an inquiry. ^^

Yep. I just called Kinokuniya Singapore too. They said to call back when the release date gets nearer. Maybe during end Jan, early Feb. Can't wait  :saycheese:
